Night vision assistant
The night vision assistant provides a visualisation of the road, of the surrounds and of people and large wild animals as a form of visual support when driving at night.
Assists the driver when driving at night by displaying a thermal image of the surroundings. People and large wild animals are highlighted in yellow in the colour display of the driver information system. If the system determines from their position that there is a potential risk, the marking changes to red, a warning triangle appears and a warning tone is emitted. Warning can also be shown in the Head-up display if ordered. In conjunction with high beam assist or Audi Matrix LED headlights the highlighted person is also illuminated with 3 successive brief flashes of the headlight. If ordered system operation maybe restricted in too much ambient light, high humidity and high night temperatures (Over 28 degrees)
